With uncertainty continuing to surround holidays abroad, many of us are considering enjoying a staycation this year and why not? The UK has so many stunning places to visit, why don’t we make the most of it in 2021? Today we’re looking at a handful of sought after UK holidays and will of course mention how you should remain cyber secure whilst on your travels.

Let’s dive in;

Isles of Scilly

beach and coastline

If you’ve not yet noticed Cornwall popping up on social media news feeds, we’re here to explain why it’s such a popular choice. Just 28 miles off the actual coast, these islands are nothing shy of perfection. In fact, many refer to the Isles of Scilly as the UKs Caribbean! Beaches boast white sands and clear blue seas; sounds idyllic right?

Perfect for families & romance;

After almost 18 months of lockdown and uncertainty there’s never been a better time to reconnect with your family and loved ones. The Isles of Scilly offer a beautiful sanctuary to relax, unwind and re-connect. Enjoy the wildlife with puffins and Atlantic grey seals whilst allowing yourself to become accustomed to the laid back lifestyle here. At night, skies are illuminated with every star imaginable making this your most memorable trip away.

Places to Visit

We’ve mentioned the wildlife so why not enjoy the Scilly natives? With Puffins, Oil Beetles, Atlantic Grey Seals, Leatherback Turtles and even dolphins you’ll truly be left in awe. There’s plenty for families to enjoy too including deserted beaches, bikes and buggy hire and even a castle to visit.

The Isles of Scilly offers everything required for making those perfect memories.

Stay Cyber Secure!

Avoid connecting to public Wi-Fi. Susceptible to interception, public connections can be dangerous, especially when it comes to sensitive processes such as online banking.

The Scottish Highlands

Scottish Highlands

Whilst the teenagers may not be thrilled with this idea, such a holiday is about what you make of it as a family. The Scottish Highlands are a real gem offering an extraordinary wild getaway. Here you can truly unplug, forgetting the grind of daily life whilst appreciating the mountains and experiencing new found pleasures at the lochs and beaches.

Make the most of your trip;

The Scottish Highlands offers the Cairngorms and Ben Nevis if you’re feeling active and of course a visit to the famous Loch Ness may just prove to be your lucky day! How about a visit to Eilean Donan Castle? Recognised worldwide as iconic, the castle is one of the most visited attractions in the Highlands. Built in the 13th century you’ll enjoy a trip back in time.

THE Place for Children to Visit

Whilst many adults would experience sleepless nights prior to their visit, we know just how much children will love to visit the Jacobite steam train. Also known as the Hogwarts Express, this wonderfully classical steam train takes you over the 21-arch Glenfinnan Viaduct meaning you’re taking the same route as Harry Potter and his tribe!

Tucked away nicely, the Scottish Highlands offers you the chance to get back to nature.

Stay Cyber Secure!

Many of us enjoy posting trips and holidays to social media and there’s nothing wrong with that. Make this a safe option by posting upon your return. This way, you’re not telling the world your home is empty.

The Peak District

The Peak District

Living and working in the North East it would be wrong of us not to highlight the obvious beauty surrounding us. For those with a love of the outdoors, the Peak District couldn’t be any more perfect. If you’ve not yet visited, why not? Think stunning views, beautiful open spaces, grandiose stately homes and for those with a love of antiques; you’ll be spoiled for choice!

Enjoy the tourist life;

The Peak District certainly has something for everyone so why not enjoy being a tourist for a week or two? Choose an historical tour, experience an unforgettable and luxurious flight around Nottingham, feel the adrenaline with rock climbing and enjoy the company of alpaca’s!

Places to Visit

If you’re interested in geology, a guided cavern tour offers the largest deposits of Blue John Stone. You’re given the choice of polishing some or hand making your own necklace. For the adrenaline junkies there’s rock climbing a plenty! From taster sessions to activities for the more hardened climber. Children and animal lovers will thoroughly enjoy a private alpaca farm tour! It’s all about those memories!

Stay Cyber Secure!

This one goes without saying but there’s nothing wrong in a little reminder. Always keep an eye on mobile devices. Try not to carry them in a back pocket or an open bag where there’s potential for devices to be stolen.

No matter your plans for summer 2021, make them count and remain cyber secure!
