September Roundup at LaneSystemsPosted By: Helen Thursday 10th October 2019
Another fantastic month for the team here at LaneSystems. September has been particularly wonderful as we have been shortlisted for an award; how exciting! More about that later though. Let’s tell you about our month.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Our team are passionate about the North East and we love helping others. We therefore decided to focus upon Corporate Social Responsibility throughout September.
There are four types of CSR:
- Environmental Sustainability Initiatives
- Direct Philanthropic Giving
- Ethical Business Practices
- Focus on Economic Responsibility
LaneSystems currently adhere to each of these. Why not learn a bit more about the definitions of each point here?
Who Do We Support?
Over our 25 years in business we have supported some wonderful charities, groups and companies. Examples include Citizens Advice Bureau in Stockton, Newcastle & Durham, MAIN and Zoe’s Place. Recently we have sponsored the Under 13’s at Seaton Carew Panthers. Currently at the top of the league we are excited to be along for the journey. We also held a Macmillan Coffee Morning which not only helped towards raising money for this fantastic cause, it provided many laughs. Take a look at our Facebook post showing delicious cakes and one of our team in creases!
Now for our most exciting news! LaneSystems are finalists in the North East Charity Awards and we couldn’t be more thrilled. You can learn more about our journey to date via this blog. We would like to offer a HUGE thank you to MAIN, Ethicare Durham and Citizens Advice of Newcastle & South Tyneside, for nominating us. The awards evening takes place on 17th October so please keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for the results! We will of course announce it here at the end of October.
Email Scam Alert
Alongside CSR we wanted to make our clients and audience aware of a New Email Scam Alert doing the rounds. Our advice is to double check legitimate looking emails requesting invoices to be paid. Are you expecting the invoice? Does it marry up with recent work you’ve had done? Double check accounts and if necessary contact the company that’s sent the invoice. This five minute job could potentially save money in the long run.
As we continue to celebrate our 25 years in business we have been visiting clients with cake. And not just any old cake, a celebratory cake topped with our logo and company age in icing! Because many of our clients have been with us from the start, it’s wonderful to be able to share our success with them. Take a look at one of our clients with their cake.
And just like that September was over. As we move into autumn and head towards the winter months we would like to urge you all to think about your current levels of CSR. Could you do more?
Until next month…
